Obituary of John Parrino
Mr. Parrino was retired from the banking and financial industry and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was past president of the Morehouse Country Club, member of the Bastrop-Morehouse Chamber of Commerce and a past board member of the Bank of Morehouse. Mr. Parrino was elected Mr. Morehouse in 1987 and was a member of the Bastrop Lion’s Club, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and the VFW. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific.
Mr. Parrino is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice McManus Parrino; daughter, Judy Ann Parrino; father, Andrea Parrino; mother, Antonia Scalia Parrino; and four sisters & three brothers.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Parrino Cook & husband Freddy of Monroe; son, John A. Parrino, Jr. of Bastrop; nine grandchildren, John A. Parrino III, Judy Ann Morris, James A. Parrino, Joseph A. Parrino, Jeremy A. Parrino, Jacqueline Alece Parrino, Lacy Morgan, Jeffrey Couch and Angela Couch Jackson; Fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
