John P. Calamari was 70 when he passed away Sunday, December 29th. Born in Brooklyn, John proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1962-1966. It was in 1966 that John married Diane Peploski, the couple later settled in New Milford in 1976 where they raised their children Debbie and John. John was a tractor trailer driver for Federal Express for 22 years before retiring. A proud veteran, he was a member of the VFW Post 4290, American Legion Post 31 and a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.
John is survived by his wife Diane, daughter Debbie Callaghan and husband Timothy, sisters Mary Ann Maisano and Dorothy Quinlan, a brother George Calamari, and two grandchildren T.J. and James Callaghan. He is predeceased by his son John Calamari.
