John Noah Lampkins, 80, passed away November 30, 2017 in Bloomington, Indiana.
John was born February 5, 1937 in Hatfield, IN to George and Helen Lampkins. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1958. Following his time in the military he married Susan Mae Lampkins (Cron) on August 1, 1959. His family then moved to Bloomington when he got a carpentry job working on the stadium for Indiana University. He later went on to become the local business agent for the carpenters and Vice President for the Indiana State Carpenters Union. He was a 50 + year member of the Masonic Lodge and Moose Lodge. John also enjoyed fishing, going to farm machinery shows and working outdoors growing a big garden.
John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Lampkins, one sister Georgia Richmond, granddaughter Ashley Nicole Lampkins, and grandson Justin Noah Lampkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Susan Mae Lampkins formerly of Eureka, IN, daughter Lori Johnson, son Eric and Cindy Lampkins of Bloomington, four grandchildren, Steve Johnson, Matt Johnson, Amber Johnson and Alyssa and Erick Stahl, three great grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, and Emry Stahl and one sister Sharon and Eugene Miller of Richland, IN.
