John Mark Atmore
John Mark Atmore, 57, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 20, 2016 due to complications of pancreatitis. John is the son of R. Frank (Linna) Atmore and Rena (Dewey) Anderson. He was born September 2, 1958 in Las Cruces, NM. John had one brother, Bob (Kera) Atmore. They were lifelong buddies and Bob was the best big brother anyone could ask for.
As a young child, John moved to Utah with his family. He married Julie Squires and together they had four children; Andrew Atmore, Lacie (Corey) Gibbs, Stacie Atmore and Taylor (Brandi) Atmore. He had 15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that he adored. John and Julie later divorced.
John worked at HAFB as an aircraft mechanic and later transferred to the Department of Defense in Tooele where he retired. In 2007 he moved to Cimarron, NM to help his father on the family ranch, which is where he loved to be.
John moved back home to Utah 2 years ago and spent the remainder of his life with his loving girlfriend, Cathy Lindley.
John loved to be outdoors in the sun, doing yardwork and working in the vegetable garden with Cathy. He loved music, the Utah Jazz and the St. Louis Rams, but more than anything, he loved his children.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather and stepdaughter Nichole Thompson.
