John M. Huffer-84, Anderson, passed away in his sleep at home on November 9, 2010. He was born April 27, 1926, in Muncie, Indiana, to Annice Mason and Walter Huffer. He resided in Anderson most of his life. John proudly served as a Marine in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked at Delco Remy as a tool and dye maker for 35 years before retiring. He drove a school bus for the Anderson Community Schools for four years. He had an extreme passion for fishing and bowling.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and working in his yard. John�s passion for life serves for all who knew him. His race in this life is over, but he will always remain alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charlotte Wikle Huffer. Three daughters, Chris Overley, Joni Kendall, and Terri Roberts, eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, and faithful friend and pet – Weezer. John is preceded in death by one beloved daughter, Conni Jo McCorkle.
