John M. “Jack” Elstone of Little Egg Harbor, passed away at his residence with his family by his side, on Sunday at the age of 54. John was known as Jack to most and was an avid fisherman. He served his country honorably in the US Air Force during Vietnam.

He was a former Corrections officer, but was a self-employed welder for Weld-Tech, Inc. In addition to his love of fishing in the ocean, he was a very good artist who loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Barbara (nee:D’Elena) daughters Trisha (Shaun) Glassmire, and Victoria Brotz, sons David (Alisa) Brotz and Erik Brotz, his grandchildren Reagan, Jake, Gianna, EJ, his brothers Paul (Marylynn), Jeff (Chris) and Keith, his sisters Sharon (Ken) Duerr, Lisa, Cindy (Jeff) Hall, a brother and sister in law Patricia & Frank Mecklenburg, as well as many nieces and nephews.
