John Michael Barrett was born in Atlanta, GA on April 19, 1972 and went home to meet the Lord on March 12, 2016. John was a loving person and a caring son, and always helped his friends and family whenever he thought they needed it, before they even asked. John was also the best father in the world; everyone could see the love he had for his precious son, William Gabriel Barrett, better known as “Gabe.” Gabe is 7 years old, and the two of them would have the best time together doing anything and everything. They always had different activities planned for the weekends, and you could see them out and about laughing and having fun. John spent every free minute he could with Gabe and adored and loved him with all of his heart.
John enjoyed selling cars; meeting new people and helping each person find the right car to meet their needs. John was also an avid golfer and always looked forward to getting together for a game of golf with his friends. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger. We are all going to miss John terribly and he will forever live in our hearts and minds.
John is preceded in death by his father; William Wells Barrett (“Bill”), his brother; William Andrew Barrett (“Billy”), his sister; Leslie Carol Barrett, his uncle; Michael Barrett and his aunt; Patty Barrett.
