John L. Vesey, 82, passed away peacefully on November 25th after a brief, unexpected illness. He is survived by Carol his loving wife of 59 years, daughter Patti of Longwood, Florida, Son Greg of Sugar Land, Texas, six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. John was a policeman for the city of Fort Walton Beach for 24 years, retiring as Chief of Police in 1992. He spent the next several years working with his many friends at Edwin Watts Golf Shops before retiring fully. John was born in New York and served in the Army during the Korean War. He and Carol have lived in Fort Walton for the past 48 years and are members of St.
