John L. McFarlane, age 66 of Sanford, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. The son of the late Clarence E. and Zola M. (Marvin) McFarlane was born January 1, 1953 in Midland where he was raised and educated. John was self-employed as a drywall installer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping.
John is survived by his wife of 31 years, the former Helen Beach of whom he married March 25, 1988 in Midland; daughter, Mary (Alexander) Lopez of Midland; brother, Clarence “Al” (Lori Moore) McFarlane; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Thompson.
