He attended Muncie City Schools and graduated from the Ivy Technical College with a Industrial Maintenance Degree. John married the love of his life, Cindy (Hamilton) Fisher on December 7, 1974 in Muncie, and she survives. He had worked for ABB Manufacturing for approximately 7 yrs. prior to being employed at the Horizon Center in Muncie in the Maintenance Dept. where he currently works. Mr. Fisher was an avid wood worker, reared exotic birds and he loved fishing and hunting.
Besides his wife of 37 yrs. Cindy, he is survived by two sons, John Fisher (wife-Amy)and Jimmy Fisher (wife-Mary); seven grandchildren; his mother, Evelyn Conner (husband-Clifford), Muncie; one brother, Jimmy Rigsby (wife-Carol), Tennessee; two sisters, Marilyn Chambers (husband- John) and Marie Fisher, both of Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Fisher; maternal grandparents, Roscoe and Anna Myrtle Leffew; and his paternal grandparents.
