John H. Kohnlein, 68, of Easton, passed into the presence of Messiah into life eternal on Friday, December 18, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Easton Campus. He was the devoted husband of Lori (Magaro) Kohnlein with whom he shared over 15 years of loving marriage. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late T. Robert and Georgea (Culp) Kohnlein. John was a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School and went on to attend Albright College. He was employed briefly in heating and air conditioning, Manager of Werner Motors, Hummelstown and a salesman for Brown Daub Ford, Nazareth. Above All, John’s mission in life was preaching and teaching the mission of Christ. He preached and volunteered his time at Bush’s Nursing Home, Kunkletown, Northampton County Prison and Juvenile Detention Center as well as many other area nursing homes. John also taught Sunday School and Faith Weaver Friends at Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church. He was a member of Mount Eaton Church, Saylorsburg.  

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Lori, he will be remembered by his children Matthew Kohnlein of Harrisburg, Bradley Kohnlein of Harrisburg, Christian Kohnlein of Nazareth, Isaiah Kohnlein of Easton and Isra’ela Kohnlein of Easton;  step daughter Johanna Miller of Bethlehem; siblings Kimberley Kohnlein Miller and her husband Stephen of Oak Park, IL, Nancy Zennie with Thomas of Centennial, WY and Robert Kohnlein of Topeka, KS; grandchildren  Camille Kohnlein, Jensen Miller and Joel Miller; niece Marian Zennie, Nephew Michael Zennie and great nieces Jennifer Heyen and Liz Kolman. 

Services: Because we are no longer us who live, but Christ; we will celebrate Christ through John at a later date to be announced.
