John Joseph Rousseau, Sr, 94, of Southington, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2011. He was the loving husband of Lea (Waskis) Rousseau and together they shared 61 years of marriage. Born on February 7, 1917 in Lyster, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Amedee and Carmeline (Breton) Rousseau.
John served as an Information Center Operator in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
Besides his wife Lea, he leaves his children John Rousseau, Jr., Margaret Morse, Lawrence Rousseau, Paul Rousseau, Matthew Rousseau and Mark Rousseau; his 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
