On August 9, 1952 John married Rose C. DiCicco and they had 4 children. They raised their children in Bergenfield, NJ where they lived till 1992. Upon retirement in 1993, John and Rose moved to Flagstaff AZ to enjoy their retirement.
John is survived by his loving wife Rose C. New and 4 children Patricia A. New-Jenkins (Patrick), John J. New Jr., Janet C. Battersby (Ron), and Kathleen M. Citino. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren; Maribeth, Kristin, Brian, Katelynn, Eric, Robert and Christopher. John is also survived by his sister Rosemary Wade and brother Donald New.
