He was the son of Stanley and Veronica Magera. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Cecelia, Edward, Joseph, Tony, Frances, Stella, and Aloysius. He was the loving husband of Rose B. (Nagy) Magera, whom he married on April 20, 1940, in Our Lady of Hungary Church, South Bend, IN. He was the loving father of Judith R. Bowlby and son-in-law, Douglas, of LaGrange, IN, and Dr. John A. Magera and daughter-in-law, Virginia, of Pittsburgh, PA. He was the loving grandfather of Holly Quasny and her husband Steve, Melissa Richmond and her husband Brien, and Joshua Bowlby and his wife Kristie. He was the loving great-grandfather of Tyler, Emma, Ainsley, and Ethan.
