Prospect – John “Jack” Alexander Painter, Sr., age 86, of Prospect, formerly of Ormand Beach, Florida passed away on Thursday September 10, 2015 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Painter was born December 23, 1928 in Waterbury to the late William and Margaret (Darabos) Painter. Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired pipe fitter and owner of the Dutch Front Café in Naugatuck. Jack was a member of the Elks Club in Naugatuck and Ormand Beach and a member of the American Legion and Eagles in Florida.
