He was born on a cattle ranch in Buena Vista, Colorado to Mary and Charles Creason, the oldest of 5 children. The Creasons moved to Valley County, Idaho when Jack was 2 years old. He graduated from Cascade High in 1936 where he was very active in sports and became interested in photography while working for Knox Photo Studio in Cascade.

After Jack was honorably discharged, he worked for numerous photographic studios before he and his wife Gail started their own studio in Meridian in 1955. They retired from photography after 25 years when Jack was 62.
After retirement, Jack and Gail moved to Donnelly.
Jack and Gail Summers met during grade school in Cascade, married November 16, 1940 and had 54 years together. They had one child, Diane (Dee) born in 1949.
Jack is survived by his wife Thelma of 18 years, his daughter Diane (Dee) Tipton of Boise, granddaughter Andrea Shidler and great grandson Cody Shidler of Meridian, a brother Rev. James Creason of Georgia, 4 stepchildren and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Gail, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
