John (Jack) E. Harwood, age 92, of Fairfield beloved husband of 61 years to Mary Jane (Barber) Harwood, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Carolton Chronic & Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late John and Estelle Harwood, he had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. A graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, Jack proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired as a Shop Manager at Bridgeport Fittings.
