John J. Zielewicz, 62, of 99 Bouganville Road, Linden, died Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Manor Care North.
John was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Williamsport High School class of 1965 and a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering. He served as an engineer with Eastern Air Lines and then as a Vice President/Engineer of JR Engineering and Consulting and President/Engineer of Z Aviation in Miami, FL until 1991.
John was a member of the N.R.A. and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting and swimming with the manatees when he lived in Florida.
Born Jan. 12, 1948 in Williamsport, he was the son of Walter J. and Jennie K. Turzanski Zielewicz.
Surviving are sons, Dereck J. (Ashley) and Jason P. (Jennifer) both of Williamsport and Peter A. (Brianna) of South Williamsport; a brother, Michael C. of Linden; a sister Marietta A. Smith and his twin sister Joanne M. Dietrick both of Williamsport and three grandchildren.
