John D., “JD,” Hoover, 78, of Galesburg, died on Thursday, January 3, 2019, 1:50 PM, at Rosewood Care Center Galesburg.
JD was born on November 27, 1940, in Burlington, Iowa. He was the son of Wendell and Evelyn (Hill) Hoover. He married Florence Wozniak. They later divorced.
JD is survived by his three daughters, Robin Kelly and Karen Hoover, both of California and Wendy Tabor of Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean Aschoff and Ann (James) McMaster.
JD worked as an office manager at Boeing Aircraft. He was a member of the Fist Church of the Nazarene in Galesburg and was a member of the men’s group.
