John Illingsworth Ludlow, age 95, went to be our Lord on January 6, 2015 in Newnan, Georgia. He was born in Stratford, Connecticut on December 9, 1919 and was the son of the late Erwin Fairfax and Mildred Harris Ludlow. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Katherine Armpriester Ludlow in 1990 and his brother Lee in 1979. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the Third Army Infantry as a Lieutenant in the European Theater. After returning from military service, John settled in Clearwater, Florida.
He was a restaurant manager. Upon his retirement in 1990, he moved to Georgia to make his home. He is survived by his sons, John A. Ludlow of Safety Harbor, Florida and Peter I. Ludlow of Newnan, Georgia. Also surviving is a brother, David Ludlow of Hathaway Pines, California. His granddaughters are Pavielle Ludlow of Newnan, Paris Mulgrew who resides in Alabama and Jennifer Dawne Rodgers of Safety Harbor, Florida. His grandsons are Keith Patton of Newnan and Douglas Allen of Clearwater, Florida. His extended family includes his nephews Michael Ludlow of Rosewood, Ohio, Larry Ludlow of Fort Loramie, Ohio and a niece, Faith McCullough of West Liberty, Ohio.
