John Howard Anderson, age 89, of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Monday, October 3, 2011. He was the loving husband for 62 years of Anna Berglund Anderson. Howard was born in Norwalk on March 18, 1922, the son of the late John and Ella Carlson Anderson. He was a graduate of Norwalk High School, Class of 1938 and served his country during WW II in the Army Air Corps. Howard worked for Nash Engineering for over 40 years, starting as an apprentice machinist and retiring as superintendant of production. After retiring he worked for Mutual Security Federal Credit Union and Meckel’s Florist.
In addition to his wife Anna, Howard is survived by his daughter Karen Murray and husband Peter of Milford, his son John Howard Anderson, Jr. and wife Debbie of Fairfield, three grandchildren; Megan Cabral and husband Kelsey, James Howard Murray and Daniel Murray, and several nieces and nephews. John was also predeceased by his brothers Rowland and Harold Anderson, and his sisters, Ethel Matthews and Esther Crosby.
