John H. McMahon, age 90, longtime resident of Crestview, passed away Monday morning, March 9, 2015. He was born in Fort Myers, FL, and grew up in Arkansas. John was drafted at the age of 18 and sent to Europe where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. In 1951, he moved to Florida to work as a State Forester.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward and Iva McMahon, two sons, James and Steve McMahon, and two brothers, Ed Perry McMahon and Ivan McMahon.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care provided to John during his stay there.
