John Holden Sullivan, 71, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2022.  He is survived by his wife, Debi Clarke Sullivan; three sons – Christopher John (Cherish) Sullivan, Chad Holden (Jonatha) Sullivan, and Michael Ryan (Julie) Sullivan; twelve grandchildren — Caleb, Shayla, Cassy, Graycie, Morgan, Olivia, Ross, Kyndall, Owen, Abby, Eli, and Magnolia; two great-grandchildren — Henry and Bexleigh; and six brothers and sisters – Greene A Jones, Mary Mollie Wiley, Dorothy “Dot” (Robert) Martin, Lillian (Carl) Foster, Leslie “Buddy” (Brenda) Sullivan, and Eldon “Fate” (Sheila) Sullivan.  He was preceded in death by his brothers James Jones and Cecil Sullivan; sister Julia “Judy” Drawdy; sister-in-law Lou Jones; and brothers-in-law John “Shorty” Wiley and Clyde Drawdy.

John was born on December 2, 1950, to Leslie Wichard and Clara Marguerite Limeberger Sullivan.  He was the youngest of ten children.  As a fifth-generation Osceolean, he lived on Sullivan Road most of his life.  He attended Mary Bryan Elementary School and graduated from Osceola High School in 1970.  John was proud of his heritage, and could tell you things about Osceola County that you didn’t know you needed to know.  He didn’t talk a lot, but when he did, you listened.  You knew you were in for a good story.

John married Debi in 1973, and they enjoyed 49 loving years together.
To his sons, he was Dad.  To his grandchildren, he was Papaw.  Whether you knew him as John Boy, John Holden, or John Sullivan, he was the man who always had a smile on his face.
