John Charles Meaney Jr, age 62 of Norwalk, died on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his home. Born in Norwalk, the son of John and Lucille Meaney, John was a Viet Nam veteran, serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. Affectionately known as “Helmet” to his friends, John worked for the City of Stamford for 23 years.
He is survived by his brothers; Michael Meaney and his wife Gail, Thomas Meaney, Frank Meaney and George Faust, and his sister Patricia Stefanko, all of Norwalk, as well as 2 nieces, 2 nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
