John H. Schneider, age 44, of DeMotte, passed away September 10, 2011. John was born December 7, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a resident of DeMotte, for 30 years and also had resided in Griffith, Indiana.
He was a 1985 graduate of Kankakee Valley High School. John furthered his education and was a certified electrician with IBEW Local #697 for ten years.
John was a member of the DeMotte United Methodist Church. He was a Boy Scout leader, Cub Master and Eagle Scout with Pack #3157 and was deeply involved with little league baseball, serving as an umpire-n-chief and serving on both the Indiana District Two League and the DeMotte board.
John is survived by two sons, Corey J. Schneider, Garrett P. Schneider, one daughter, Kendall E. Schneider, all of DeMotte; his former wife, Molly nee Smith Schneider; and one sister, Carol (Tom) Sparks, of DeMotte, an niece, Hannah Sparks and a nephew Andy Sparks both of DeMotte, IN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara nee Pishum Schneider, grandparents Paul and Ann Pishum.
