John M. Goldone, Jr., 83, of Oglesby, died at 11:30 a.m. September 3, 2006 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru. He was born February 25, 1923 in Kangley to John and Anna (Letanowski) Goldone. He worked as an operating Engineer for Len Trovero construction.
He served in the Army during WWII in Italy and Africa. He married Naomi Tatusek. He was a 50 year member of the Operating Engineers local # 150. He was a member of the Oglesby American Legion, the Peru VFW, and the Mendota Elks. He is survived by: 1 son, John Goldone, III of Cherry.
He was preceded by: his wife on September 24, 2000; and 1 brother, Charles Goldone.
