Mr. John G. Mayer, age, 94, long time resident of Milford, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 , at Long Ridge Health Care in Stamford. Son of the late Fred and Phoebe (Muller) Mayer, he was born on March 8, 1914 in Brooklyn , NY. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the US Armies 23rd Tank Battalion in the European Theater.
He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Simmons of Clarksburg, WV ; two grandchildren, Jacob Simmons of Manassas, VA and Emily Chrisman and her husband, Jeremy of Virginia Beach, VA and great granddaughter, Zoey Skylar Chrisman
