John Fedors, Jr., 64, of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, at home. Born September 9, 1953 in Somerville, NJ, he was raised in Middlebush, NJ. He later lived in Rocky Hill, and Maplewood, NJ before moving to Basking Ridge, 20 years ago. John attended the Lawrenceville School (Class ’71). Additionally, he attended Princeton University (Class ’75) and Cornell University (Class ’76), where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and Masters, both in Electrical Engineering.

He went on to receive his Juris Doctor Degree from Indiana University and a second Master’s Degree in Archeology from Rutgers University (Class ’02). Always learning, he was working on his Ph.D. with aspirations to teach. He continually gave back to Lawenceville and Princeton, to give others the scholastic opportunities that he had. The John & Geraldine Fedors Scholarship fund that he set-up to honor his parents will continue to do just that. John was a Corporate Law Attorney for 25+ years, working for Citigroup in New Jersey.

He was the current president of the Wallace House and Old Dutch Parsonage Association. He also served for 5+ terms as president of Sunset Lake in Basking Ridge. An avid reader and historian, with special interest in WWII and the Revolution. He enjoyed travelling to places like China, India, Iceland, and Istanbul. Over the past year his travels took him to St. Moritz, Ottawa, Paris, Switzerland, Italy and Liechtenstein – main highlights: the 2017 Tour de France and the Alpine World Ski Championships. He also visited South Carolina to experience the total solar eclipse, and later the charm of Savannah.

His heart’s desire was his last trip to Norway, Jan-Feb 2018 where he saw the Northern Lights. Sadly, there were more trips planned for this year that never came to be, as well as retirement and moving to Doylestown, PA. John was predeceased by his father, John Fedors, Sr., in 2012.
