John F. Starkel, 69, of Pendleton, passed away on October 30, 2012 at the Indiana University Saxony Hospital Fishers, Indiana. He was born on January 14, 1943 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and resided most of his life in Arizona. He worked and retired as an Electrician for over 30 years for the IBEW Local 640.
He was a member of IBEW Local 640, and the Pendleton Kiwanis. John is survived by his loving spouse, Korryn Marlene Davidson Starkel, step-daughter, Barbara Mike McGuire Hanna, brother, David Sue Starkel, brother, Bob Pam Starkel, brother, Tom Vicki Starkel, sister-in-law, Rhonda Lewis, daughter, Nancy Tod Shepard, grandchildren, Justin, Allison, Isaac, Levi, Mya, and Leeann.
Nieces and Nephews, Matthew Starkel, Timothy Erin Starkel, Mike Starkel, Melissa Starkel, Steven Tina Starkel, Scott Jennifer Starkel, Samuel Amber Morgan, Abbie Greg Lewis-Peak, great nieces and nephews, Carson, Tyler, and Brayden, Kailyn, Elijah, Amaiyah.
He was preceded in death by his son, Frank Starkel, mother, Madeline Starkel, father Francis Starkel, sister, Janet Gillum, wife of over 30 years, Barbara Starkel, and sister-in-law, Candace Morgan.
