John F. Orr, 74 of Whiting died Sunday April 13, 2014 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and lived in Lakewood before moving to Whiting in 2002. He worked in the warehouse for Pathmark in Carteret for many years before retiring. He was a prior member of the American Legion Post 166 in Lakewood; he worked the Bingo and also did Safety Patrol at Crestwood Village #2 in Whiting. He was predeceased by his first wife Jean Carol Orr in 2004.
Surviving is his wife Janet Beam Orr; his son John Orr, his daughters Jeannine Johnson and Jacqueline Lange all of Toms River and four grandchildren Vanessa Rodgers, Megan Lange, Mikeala Johnson and Jordon Johnson.
