John Eugene Ahlers, 60, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away in his home on April 3, 2016. He was born on October 27, 1955 in Joplin, Missouri to John Ahlers and Betty (Britton) Ahlers. John served in the United States Army from 1972-1975. He was a lifetime member of VFW #346. John was also the lead singer of ROC. He will be missed by all who knew him. John is survived by his wife Cara (Brown) Ahlers, whom he shared 34 years of his life with; children Lacey Ahlers , husband Dustin, Marilyn Paige Holt, husband Joshua, John Ahlers Jr., wife Clarisa, Sarah Ahlers, Crystal Dalton, husband Howard, Natosha Scott, and her husband Robert; grandchildren Britiany, Joel, Sarina, Lil Jay, Kristyana, Lil Billy, Anna, Jacob, Haylee, Kaylee, Triston, Joshy, Gabriel, Samuel, and Nathaniel; and great grandson Kingston. He was preceded in death by his parents and best friends Bruce Trusty and Debbie Byrley.
