John “Doc” Elliott Dawson, 73, of Pittsboro died on March 8th, 2023 in his home as he wished after a long battle with cancer. John was born in 1950 in Greenport, Suffolk County, NY and was the son of the late John Stewart Dawson and Betty Elaine (Barteau) Dawson. John is survived by his sister, Mary Holland of Cutchogue, NY.
