John Eddie “Goldie” Williams, 65, Anderson, died July 13, 2011, at Ball Memorial Hospital-Muncie after a short illness. He was born May 29, 1946, and lived most of his life as a Madison County resident, with the exception of the few years that he lived in Terre Haute. Eddie was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing in pool tournaments with his brother. All children loved him for he had a big heart for all of the little ones. He was the kind of guy who would say I’ve got your back and really meant it.
Survivors include two sons, John Williams Jr. and Travis Cooper’s wife, Michelle; several grandchildren; one brother, Charles Williams wife, Peggy; two special nieces, Wanda A. Williams and Stephanie Michelle Williams, all of Anderson; and several great-nieces and nephews; and special friends, Carol Nunn and Annette Bendekovich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel Williams and Anna Gray Wood; and one brother, Hershel Williams Jr.
