John E. Clark, 82, of Silver Ridge Park East section of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at home.
Born in Paterson, NJ, he lived in Toms River for 38 years before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 2017.
He was a United States Army Vietnam War Veteran.
John’s professional career began was a Color Matcher for Dayco in Wharton, NJ, where he worked for many years. He would go on to own Elite Cleaners and Hinck’s Turkey Farm and Country Deli, both of Toms River. He would then retire from Henderson Labs in Beachwood, NJ as a Field Technician.
Known to his closest family and friends as “Jack”, among his many interests and hobbies he was an avid collector of Lionel and MTH model trains, enjoyed snow skiing and was heavily involved in High Life Ski Club, Denville, NJ. He also enjoyed watching and following College and Pro football every weekend in the fall.
He was predeceased by his parents, John E. and Marie Clark.
John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Suzanne (nee Selitto), his three children Bridget Maillard and her husband John of Toms River, NJ, Andrew Clark and his wife Kelly of Middletown, NJ, Christina Faherty and her husband William of Beverly, MA, a sister Virginia Alfieri and her husband Louis of Palm Coast, FL and six grandchildren John Luke Maillard, Michael Maillard, Ryan Maillard, Patrick Clark, Brendan Clark and Keira Faherty.
