John Douglas “Doug” Fleming, 70, of Lost Creek, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 8, 2010 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital. Mr. Fleming was a commercial installer with AT&T, and served in the United States Army having been stationed in Korea. He was born in East Orange, NJ on August 29, 1939, a son of the late John Hugh and Beverly Alice Lake Fleming. He is survived by his wife, Carol Anne VanRiper Fleming, whom he married October 5, 2004; three sons, John William Fleming and his wife Linda Marie, Hawthorne, NJ, Scott Douglas Fleming and his wife Kimberly Marie, New Foundland, PA, and Thomas Douglas Fleming and his wife Kimberly, Middlesex, NJ; one daughter, Virginia Dawn Kosch and her husband Kevin, Mahwah, NJ; one step-son, John Michael Kozuha, Clifton, NJ; two step-daughters, Beth Anne Dysinger and her husband Robert Bengel, New Milford, NJ and Jennifer Leigh Maynard and her husband Dean, Lavonia, GA; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one step great grandchild; one brother, Robert Fleming and his wife JoEllen, Southington, CT; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Fleming was Protestant by faith. He retired in 1999 to WV where he built his dream house. He was always an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed working on cars and was a master craftsman. Doug was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed.
