John Dewey Hall, 50 of Weston and most recently at his sister Betty Stevens in Grafton, passed away Tuesday April 12, 2011 at Grafton Hospital with family by his side. He was born July 9, 1960, in Philippi, son of the late Paul Walter and Loretta Antilee Bowman Hall. John was a typesetter for Dover Post Printing Co for several years. He enjoyed fishing, riding four-wheelers and pitching horseshoes. He was survived by his former wives, Bonnie Suttle and Vickie Queen both of Weston; two daughters, Daisy Hall, Katrina Hall and Jason both of Weston, one stepdaughter, Melanie Myers of Albany, NY, eight grandchildren, Paige Butcher “Pickle”, David Michael Butcher, Tyler Butcher all of Weston, Johanna “Jo Jo” Hall and Lydell Gilbert of Buckhannon, Isiah Gilbert of Wheeling, Tommy and Gray Nelson of Braxton County; one aunt Irene Bowman Workman; eight brothers, Walter “Lee” Hall and Rotha of Masontown, Ray Hall and Susie of Fairmont, Larry “Dink” Hall and Judy of Terra Alta, William “Bill” Hall and Margaret of Moterey Va, Paul Jr “Peanuts”Hall of Independence, Ott “Cricket” Hall of Independence, James “Shrimp” Hall and Charlena of Yelm WA, Roger “Shorty” Hall of Independence, two sisters, Betty “Sadie” Stevens and Richard of Grafton; Kathryn “Sis” Rose and Brian of Salem, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister, Bertha Irene Hall Knotts in 1997 and one sister-in-law Laura Togher.
