John D. Duncan , 94

Troy John D. Duncan , 94 ,of Stow Avenue Troy died Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Hector Duncan and Jean (Dempster) Duncan and husband of the late Lillian L. Carr.

He had resided in Troy all his life and was educated in Troy Schools.

Mr. Duncan was employed by the Federal Government in General Services Administration for over 30 years retiring in 1970 and later employed at the Country Club of Troy.

He was a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks, Apollo-King Solomon’s Masonic Lodge in Troy, and was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre.

He is survived by a son, John T. Duncan (Pam)of Phoenixville, PA and two grandchildren, David S. Duncan of Troy and Michelle S. Greco of Easton, MA. He was predeceased by a sister-Janet Duncan and a brother, James L. Duncan.
