John D Comer, 81, Anderson, went to be with the Lord, January 1, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born February 14, 1930 in Anderson, where he lived the majority of his life.
John served in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence at Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 1951-1953. He had worked at Lynch Machinery here in Anderson in Production Control & Sales and 20 years in Bainbridge, GA.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jo Allen Comer, children, Ricky Comer, Timothy Carol Comer & Johnna Comer Steve Gindhart; sister, Nancy Burns; sister-in-law, Deloris Johnny Myers; grandchildren, Angela Steve Jones, Craig Comer, Troy “Raymond” Walker, Joey Walker, Ashley Nick Cohan & Dallas Comer; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Gladys Comer Bell.
