John Collins Chase, 68, of Dudley, North Carolina passed away April 1, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, NC. He was born in 1953 to Everett and Lila Chase in Kentucky as the first son after seven daughters.
John grew up in the Louisville area and graduated from Seneca High School in 1972 and shortly thereafter decided to join the military. He served in the Air Force from 1973 until his retirement in 1994. After his service, he drove for Kenan Transport hauling fuel along the east coast.
John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dianna Chase; son, William Kohls II of Dudley, NC; daughter, KaSondra Worley and husband Joseph of Princeton, NC; daughter Shandara Chase and Michael Mangum of DeFuniak Springs, FL; son, Brian Kohls of Dudley, NC; son John Chase II, of Dudley, NC; eight grandchildren: William Kohls III, Tyler Kohls, Christopher Chase, Brian Kohls II, Jacob Worley, Conner Chase, Cayden Chase, and Joshua Worley; sisters Cheryl Bowling of Louisville KY, and Patty Schnurr of Louisville, Ky and younger brother Louis Chase of Louisville KY; and many loving nieces and nephews and relatives.
John is preceded in death by his parents Everett and Lila Chase, sisters Helen Ahlhaus, Jane Ahlhaus, Margaret Mary Zehnder, Lila Buchenberger, and Joan Lee; and son, Timothy John Chase.
