John (Bucky) Boksan, 92, of Bethlehem died on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown.
He was the loving husband of the late Bertha (Demjyan) Boksan.
John was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late John and Mary Lazorchak Boksan-Rice.
A long time member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, John was a member of the Holy Name Society, the church choir, a volunteer at church and worker at the church carnival for many, many years (with former Pastor Monsignor Paul Firczak). John and wife Bertha enjoyed bowling and were league bowlers for many years.
He was a member of the North End Wanderers A.A. and the Jefferson Democratic Club, where he enjoyed bus trips to Eagles and Phillies sporting events (He was a big Eagles fan) and attending summer Clam Bakes.
John was a Marine Corps. Veteran of WW II and was a Machinist at the Bethlehem Steel from 1940’s – 1980’s.
Surviving: He is survived by his son, Thomas and wife Barbara; daughters, Gina and husband Edward Brinkos, Eleanore and husband Daniel McCafferty all of Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Derek, Tracy and husband Michael, Todd, Heather and Benjamin; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Kaitlin. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Michael, Edward and George.
