John Daniel Baker, 65, of Adrian passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. John was born in Hazard, KY, on April 22, 1950, to John and Blanche Baker. John was a graduate of the University of Toledo School of Law and practiced law in the Lenawee County community for 35 years. John loved golfing and bowling. He looked forward to his weekly golf and bowling leagues, as well as going on trips with his golf buddies who will never forget his two hole-in-ones and his perfect 300 game. John loved watching movies, a pastime he shared with his children. He also loved listening to music, especially 70’s music. His favorite place to be was at home with his family and puppy dogs. To say John had a good heart would be an understatement. He had a heart of gold. If he could help his friends in any way, he did. He had a joyful and calming presence, and made those around him feel comfortable, even during their most difficult times. Words cannot express how deeply loved John was, and how very much he will be missed by his family, and his many, many friends. John is survived by his beautiful wife, Kim Baker; three wonderful children, Stacy (Todd) Sullivan; Haley Baker; and Jonathon Baker; his sweet sister, Charlotte (Tom) Tylka; his brother-in-law Mike Smyth and sister-in-law Karen Smyth, his niece Jennifer (Geoff) Biela; his nephew Steve Tylka; and his dearest uncle and aunt Bart and Lois Baker.
