John Anthony Stupak, Sr., 82, husband of the late Florence Ann Stupak, died suddenly at the Southington Care Center on Saturday May 12, 2007.

Mr. Stupak was born in Wallingford on March 21, 1925, a son of the late Anthony and Antoinette (Harraisen) Stupakevich.  He had been a Wallingford resident until moving to Bristol 43 years ago. He had been employed at New Departure Hyatt where he served as a Tool & Die Machinist and a UAW Union Representative.

He is survived by his daughter, Janis L. Neri and Michael P. Lambert of Southington; his sons and daughters-in-law, James J. and Janet Stupak of Fairfield, John A. and Sally A. Stupak, Jr. of Northborough, MA; his son Thomas H. Stupak of Bristol; his grandchildren, Lori Thomas-Hernandez, Karli Ann Stupak, Aimee Stupak, John Stupak, III, Ashley Stupak, Courtney Stupak, Jeffrey Stupak and Christopher Stupak; his two great-grandchildren, William and Eric Hernandez; his five sisters, Jennie Deveau, Nettie Elyett, Ella Robillard and Ann Bellows all of Wallingford and Elsie Nubel of Hainesport, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister Mary Reig and his brothers Alex Stupakevich and Michael Stupack.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Southington Care Center for their loving care during John’s stay there.
