Willard John Angel, Jr., 64, of 124 Old Cabin Road, Cascade, VA died Monday, June 6, 2011 in Danville Regional Medical Center. Born January 7, 1947 in Guilford County, NC, he was the son of the late Willard J. Angel, Sr. and the late Pauline Benson Angel. He was married to Eloise McKenzie “Teta” Angel who survives of the residence. John was owner of Angel Design where he was a product designer for the furniture industry, designing lamps and home accessories. Angel Design just celebrated thirty-five years of business. He was a graduate of Grimsley High School, Greensboro, NC and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from East Carolina University. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was very patriotic, loved to travel, and was an avid historian. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Danville where he was a member of the Discipleship Class and served as an usher and greeter. He also was a past member of the Greensboro Jaycees and he was actively involved as a volunteer and counselor for local a self-help recovery program. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his sons, Sean Jeffrey Angel and wife, Maxine and their children, Nicholas and Hope, residing in Mebane, NC and Patrick Heath Angel and wife, Emily and their son, Wyatt, residing in Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Pam Knight and husband, Bill of Greensboro, NC and a niece, Jamie Johnson and husband, Kevin and their daughters, Melissa and Ana of Cary, NC.
