John A. Parker of Springtown, PA was reunited with his Heavenly Father on July 24, 2014. He was born on March 18, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to John “Jack” and Roberta “Skeets” (Greene) Parker. John grew up in Penndel and Newtown. He graduated from Council Rock High in 1970 then attended Bucks County Community College. In 1971 he joined the Air Force and served until 1974. He moved to Pittsburgh, PA where he resided until returning to Newtown in 1985. He worked for Pelmor Labs until 1987 when he began driving for Frost-Watson Lumber Co until 2002 at which point he owned and operated his business Supreme Gutter Cleaning with his wife April. In 1988 he met April Brecks, they married July 16, 1994 in Furlong, PA and moved to Springtown in November 1994. He was a member of and served in numerous ways at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Center Valley, PA. He volunteered at both the Springtown Fire Company and Southeastern Fire Company for many breakfasts. John was a loving husband, sweet, gentle, really tall, ever willing, sometimes stubborn, always huggable, heart of a servant, hard working, ever optimistic, patient man that will be truly missed by April, Oliver, Dusty Jack, his family and friends. He loved going salmon fishing in NY, watching his “boys” play baseball, shooting pool, the Pittsburgh Steelers, his Lehigh students and his customers. John always had a smile and wave for his neighbors and was willing to help where and when help was needed. He is survived by his wife, April; daughter Sunny (Michael) Stewart and their children, Samantha and Austin of Plano, IL, daughter JayMee Parker of Cincinnati, OH; sister Diane Moser, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends whom he loved like family. John was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother-in-law.
