John A. Heft, Sr., 87, of Bethlehem, died Friday, October 12, 2007, in the VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s in Lower Saucon Twp. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Wilbur N. and Sadie (Wright) Heft. His lifetime employment was with the Morning Call over a period of 47 years. He started as a cub reporter and photographer. Later he became correspondent editor for the Bethlehem office.
