WINSTED –DOMBROWSKI – John A. Dombrowski, Jr., 67, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 23, 2022 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Andrea (Keith) Dombrowski for 42 years. Born February 13, 1955 in Winsted; the son of J. Alfred “Al” Dombrowski of Winsted and the late Marjorie (Hall) Dombrowski. John graduated from The Gilbert School and Central Connecticut State University. He worked at the Hitchcock Chair Co. prior to becoming a teacher and DECA advisor at Watertown High School and The Gilbert School. John was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan and loved the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed coaching his children’s youth sports as well as coaching football at The Gilbert School. He also loved golfing with his friends. John enjoyed traveling the country with his wife visiting National Parks. His favorite times were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he is already deeply missed. In addition to his wife, he leaves his beloved children, John (Amanda) Dombrowski, III, of Bloomfield, Stephen (Lauren) Dombrowski of Winsted, and Jenny (Michael) Dallis of New Hartford; cherished grandchildren, Stella, Jackson, Eleanor and Colbie Dombrowski, Ryan Dombrowski and William and Natalie Dallis; dear to his heart, Jaclyn Dombrowski and Parker Smith of Barkhamsted; three brothers, Joseph (Anna) Dombrowski of New Hartford, Jerome (Cathy) Dombrowski of Watertown and Jeffrey (Paula) Dombrowski of Barkhamsted; and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his mom, he was predeceased by his brother, James Dombrowski.
