He is survived by one son, Stephan J.
Hans, as he was known to most, was born on August 29, 1934 in Chemnitz, Germany to the late Martin and Hildegarde (Schiller). In 1959, he and Margareth emigrated to the United States and settled in Bristol. The two married in 1960.
Hans and Margareth owned and operated Hans and Fritz Delicatessen in Farmington for 12 years. He was a member of St.
Hans will be remembered as an active ski instructor of over 50 years at Butternut Basin Ski School in Great Barrington, MA. Other hobbies included playing tennis, playing guitar, singing, windsurfing, enjoying the beach, camping and world travel.
