Joel R. Ivan, 64, of Chaplin, CT, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Windham Hospital. He was born on November 6, 1952 in France to the late Rudolph and Renee Rabon Ivan. Joel immigrated to the United States in 1957; becoming a citizen in 1976.
Joel is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Elaine Ivan; sisters, Edith Laflamme (Benoit), Jacqueline Marceau both of Windham, CT, Murielle Ivan- Marrotte (Christopher) of Hampton, CT; brother, John Ivan (Janice) of Hampton, CT. He is also survived by his wife’s family, Eleanor Russ, Barbara Russ and Earl Russ all of Windham, CT and several nieces and nephews. Joel also leaves behind his loyal four legged companion, Molly.
