Mr. Joe Lee Edwards age 77 of Fayette passed away Saturday March 4, 2017 at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Edwards was born January 21, 1940 in Lamar County, the son of the late Felix Edwards and Wilma Watkins Edwards. He and his wife Susie Green Edwards have been married for 53 years. Joe was formerly employed at Jitney Jungle, the Fayette Cotton Mill and Fowler Oil Co. He was a former school bus driver and most of all a loving father, grandfather, and great grand grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Green Edwards, one daughter, Amy Edwards McGuff, one brother, Wayne Douglas (Linda) Edwards. His grandchildren, Linley Mitchell, Will McGuff, Megan McGuff, great grandchildren, Melina Rahming, Keith Allen Mitchell.
Other than his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his brother, James Kenneth Edwards and grandparents, Burl and Pelina Jenkins Watkins, and George and Verona Newman Edwards.
