Joseph Ross DeSio, 66, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, in Des Moines.
Joe was born December 16, 1954, in Des Moines, IA, to Joseph and Maria (Formaro) DeSio. He married the love of his life Rebecca Puckett on August 12, 1972, in Des Moines.
Joe was known as a tinkerer and enjoyed building and fixing things. He liked fireworks and fancy kites and had a great sense of humor. For many years, Joe arranged and delivered flowers and was a handyman. He loved to work with his hands as well as helping the people he cared about. Recently, Joe helped build and maintain The Station on Ingersoll. He was a man of many talents from skateboarding to floral arranging to knowing how to fix anything. Most importantly, Joe loved spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.
Joe is lovingly remembered and cherished by his daughter, Cara (Justin) Corkrean; grandchildren, Bailey (Aaron Owen-Booker) DeSio of West Des Moines, IA, Ryder Corkrean; Great-Grandchild, Daxton Owen-Booker; former spouse, Rebecca Puckett of Des Moines, IA; four siblings; two nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by son, Joseph Chad DeSio, and his parents.
